DIRECT COMPRESSION

WET GRANULATION

Although Alfacel -P can be used in all methods of tableting, it is most effectively used in direct compression. When using Alfacel-P only a simple three step procedure of weighing, mixing and compressing is required to prepare a wide variety of tablets. Because of its high chemical purity and low moisture content, improved chemical and colour stability of the tablets can result with the use of Alfacel-P. It is also best suited for preparation of capsules.

PBAKERY, PASTA AND LOW-CALORIED FOOD PRODUCTS

In dry form, ALFACEL powder, which resembles flour, can be easily incorporated into foods by blending or homogenization. In baked foods, it has been used for the production of low-calorie cookies like 'Sweet 16 cookies' which contains only 16 calories a piece and are fortified with vitamins. A pasta of ALFACEL in water can be extruded into ribbons & other shapes. In this way low calorie spaghetti, macaroni and other products can be made. It can also be used in making CAKE MIX, WAFFLE MIX, PANCAKE MIX ETC.

ANIMAL HEALTH PRODUCTS

The advantages offered by ALFACEL MCC in the preparation of Pharmaceutical products for human use are equally applicable to the formulation of tablets or boluses for use in animals.

The direct compression of these large tablets and boluses is a definite benefit economically and in process time saved.
